How the New Player EXP Bonus Works

New players are provided with a very desirable Dedication effect. You see, the B.R.O. Moogles like to look out for players, and giving new adventurers a hand to help them get to high levels faster makes them happy. The B.R.O. Moogles think Mentors are pretty mighty in spirit already, so they do not get this service.

This Dedication effect is an EXP bonus that grants 100% extra EXP until either 4 hours are up or you gain 40,000 bonus EXP from it, whichever comes first.

When does the New Player EXP Bonus Get Cut Off?

Players aren't New Players forever and all good things must come to an end! When the B.R.O. Moogle detects you don't need his help anymore, he'll declare that you've grown strong and are ready to face Vana'diel on your own. He'll still hook you up with Warp, Re-Raise and Repatriation, though.

The B.R.O. Moogle will cut a player off when they've earned 550,000 extra bonus EXP or when they talk to him as a level 75 character. This comes out to the equivalent of a level 75 job and 2 level 37 subjobs for most folks, but you may use it up any way you wish. Once the player has earned that much EXP across any number of jobs, that's the end of the normal New Player EXP Bonus! The B.R.O. Moogle's mighty magic is pretty strong, so any crafty adventurer should be cautious before trying to outsmart him!
